Two weeks have come and gone and the project is really starting to take shape. Today, campers raised the four walls they build during the previous days. Moving the walls was definitely a team effort and good communication was a major emphasis. We managed to avert a near disaster when we almost put the first wall up backwards and from there it was smooth sailing. The campers learned how to square up the walls and tie everything together which allowed for the practice of some tricky nailing techniques. I would definitely hire this crew to build me a house!
We gathered around our ceremonial hard hat for a final cheer and send-off. Next week we welcome our new crew with a few 2 week veterans returning for more fun.
